So this isnt really a classic alfredo… its kind of like mac and cheese and alfredo had a baby but it is SOO good cause like what even would be bad about that? But the best part of this is that it was SO cheap. So there is this amazing thing at Market Basket, and Im pretty sure everyone does it, called cheese ends, there like a dollar for a package and its all the ends of different cheeses. Well i bought that to make my alfredo and it is the most amazingly flavorful alfredo/mac and cheese, Ive ever had, its great! I do warn you to try to avoid packages with mostly american cheese(it wont taste good). But this is easy and delicious with spaghetti squash, that is my suggestion to eat it with!
Ingredients:
- your cheese ends
- milk
- garlic
- salt and pepper
- basil
How to:
- in a pan on medium heat put in about 1 1/2 cups of milk. Let this get warm, to the point you see a little bit of steam. Then add in your cheese.
- now your going to let this cook for a while, letting it come to a boil and stirring constantly. Add in salt and pepper continuously as well as some basil and garlic, very little is needed, with all those cheeses it is already very flavorful.
- Let this continue to cook until it begins to get thicker, about 15-20 minutes.
- Its slightly thin, but when you pour it on the spaghetti squash it soaks it all up so its truly perfect. This is SO good. trust me youll eat this for many meals. Another good part, its healthy!!
