Wholesome Snacks

After traveling all last week my body was craving something healthy and unprocessed, but at the same time it was getting so used to eating the bad stuff, it still has the yearnings for those kinds of foods as well.  These few recipes are really easy but they will keep you full all day and also they are unprocessed and guilt free.

The snack pack includes: celery sticks with sesame peanut spread, salt and pepper popcorn, and nutty trail mix.

To make the sesame peanut spread this is what you need

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 dash soy sauce
  • 1 dash sesame oil
  • 1 splash rice wine vinegar
  • 1 sprinkle of red pepper flakes

Use a fork to whisk it all together until combined and smooth.  Spread over celery and enjoy.

To make the salt and pepper popcorn, pretty simple:

In a pan mix 1/2 cup popcorn with 1/4 cup vegetable oil.  Shake vigorously while it is cooking and when it is done sprinkle with salt and pepper. Seal in an air tight bag and enjoy all week long!!

The nutty trail mix is also simple mix chopped pecans with slivered almonds and bitter sweet chocolate chips.

These snacks are easy to make and you can make them in bulk and enjoy all week!
