You cant always have take out, especially in these financially hard times, so this recipe gives you the option of making a classic takeout chinese dinner at home. It’s a one of my harder recipes, but worth the work. Once you know how to make it, you will be making it every night. I also paired this recipe with a recipe of a dipping sauce, its great for these dumplings or to spice up white rice. Its take in take out.
Ingredients: Dumplings
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
- 2 gloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 scallions minced
- wonton wrappers
how to:
- in large bowl mix together everything except wonton wrappers
- spoon 1 teaspoon of mixture into center of wonton square
- lightly moisten all for edges of wonton wrapper
- fold over and seal by pinching
- heat a skillet with 1/2 inch deep of oil
- then fry on both sides until golden
- remove any excess oil from pan
- put dumplings back in, add 1/4 cup water, cover and allow to steam for about 1 minute until cooked
- then enjoy!

- soy sauce
- white vinegar
- sugar
- dried minced garlic
- red pepper flakes
- scallions
how to:
- in bowl mix 3 tablespoons of soy sauce with 1 splash of vinegar
- then add a sprinkle of sugar
- a dash of garlic
- a pinch of red pepper flakes
- a sprinkle of scallions
